WHOO HOO!

When I stepped on the scale this morning I had to get off and step back on again to be sure that my digital scale wasn’t wrong.  I weighed 125 just yesterday.  Is it really possible that I weigh 2 lbs less today?  Maybe it is due to the fact that I was so busy yesterday that I didn’t have much time to eat.  Hopefully this is a preview of days to come, but it might be a fluke.  So I am not going to expect it to be less tomorrow.  Hopefully not back to 125!

Summer clothes

I went to the store this holiday weekend with my 16 year old daughter.  We were both looking for summer clothes.  I needed some new shorts.  Took several pairs into the dressing room, and yep you guessed it, none of them fit.  The same size shorts I wore last year at this time and they looked like I had been poured into them.  I guess because I have stretch levis I didn’t realize that I had obviously grown in my hip area.

I stepped on the scale and wanted to scream.  I gained 10 lbs over the winter!  Thats what I get for listening to people who tell me stepping on the scale everyday is not healthy.  If I had known I was gaining weight, I would have stopped it before it got this far.

Step 1: Weight Goal….to lose 10 pounds in the next 2 months.  Really I am striving for sooner than that, but trying to be realistic.

Step 2:  Exercise Goal….to get to the gym 3 x a week and to exercise at home the other 3 days.  (Sunday is not an exercise day.  :) )

Step 3:  Diet Goal….stop eating after dinner.  It has become a habit to snack after dinner, right up til about a half hour before bed time.  I know better, what the heck happened to me? And to stop eating all of the sugar stuff….no more oreo cookies and brownies and junk.  Sugar is my real weakness so this will be a hard one.
